SUZANNAH SHOWLER is a writer and generalist.
She is the author of the poetry collections Thing is (McClelland & Stewart 2017) and Failure to Thrive (ECW 2014). Most Dramatic Ever, a book of cultural criticism about The Bachelor, came out in 2018 with ECW's Pop Classic series.

Her poetry has won the Matrix LitPOP Prize, been shortlisted for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award, the RBC Bronwen Wallace Award, the PRISM International Prize, and the CV2 Young Buck Prize, and been longlisted for the Pat Lowther Memorial Award and Best Canadian Poetry in English. Her nonfiction has won a Silver National Magazine Award for One of a Kind and been a runner-up for the National Magazine Award for Best New Writer in feature journalism.
She was a 2017-2018 Presidential Fellow at The Ohio State University and is a graduate of their MFA program. A dual Canadian-U.S. citizen, she currently lives on Quadra Island, British Columbia with her partner, novelist Andrew Battershill.
